Bridge County Bluegrass Band History

Bridge County Bluegrass Band is a group of five talented musicians from four counties (Fulton, Henry, Lucas, and Wood) in Northwest Ohio.  The group started in 2006 with four original members (Brad - mandolin, Jerry - string bass, Merv - guitar, Steve - banjo) but expanded to five members in 2012 when Jason (fiddle) was invited to join the group.

Collectively, the group brings over a half century of music experience to the stage.  Each of the members has played in various music groups and performed different styles of music.  However, their shared love of bluegrass has brought them together for Bridge County Bluegrass Band.  For those who love the driving beat of traditional bluegrass, with mournful songs and unforgettable instrumentals, get ready for a real treat.  If you like a little variety, listen for our signature newgrass songs, including Blue Suede Shoes, Johnny Be Good, and other modern favorites.

Please see the band biography page (Bios) for information about each band member.

Bridge County Bluegrass Band was featured in the Toledo Blade in April 2014.
